Interview with Black Plague

To me personally, there’s nothing more fun or exciting to talk to people about their work. And this week I am sharing the conversation I had with Black Plague!

Black Plague is part of the lineup for Metal in the Mountains so be sure to get your tickets. It’s going to be without question one hell of an experience.

Something I loved about our conversation is how they acknowledge and address that being a musician and being an of a band is, in fact, a business. I think, looking from the outside in, it can feel like it’s easy to just come together, be in a band and boom there you are.

But this isn’t the case as the band shares about delegating various tasks and acknowledging that being an artist is without questions a business if you want to go anywhere with it.

There are songs to be written, recorded and shared with the world. They are gigs and events to book so that they share their work with their fan base.

And something else that was highlighted, is that more and more business or music venues are closing because people now have access to social media in forms of Facebook live and YouTube videos. Black Plague shared their own thoughts on this whole thing!

As an avid concert goer, I would like to share that seeing the bands life is without question the way to go. Sure you can connect with them on all the socials but there’s nothing like being part of the crowd, singing (or screaming) along the songs that help you get through the day.
