All too often, we think of power as destructive and find it challenging to see it as constructive. But what if for just a moment you recognize that it is neither nor and just is?
There are some forces of nature you don’t have control over such as Thunder and Lighting or the people around us. You do however have control over how to act or react to any given situation which can then be seen as giving life to something or someone or being destructive.
I believe self-awareness is crucial to our growth and creating a life that is in harmony even during a storm. It’s about setting your intention, your values and your willingness to actively supporting you and your life with all its ups and downs.
You have the power to do good as well as bad but it does you no good to overthink and get caught up in the deciding whether or not your decisions are good or bad. Here’s the thing, you will already know intuitively if something is good or if it’s going in the wrong direction. It’s important to check in with your gut (aka the intuition aka the inner wisdom center) and allow it to support you as you are tapping into who you are and recognize the power you hold in your own life and perhaps the life of other’s as well.
Tap into your intuition through meditation or prayer and pay close attention to the inner voice as your choice and next step are revealed to you.
I believe we all have an inner coach, or as I like to say inner Rebel. It’s the voice that encourages us to step up and make a decision that feels good not only energetically but you can physically feel good about it.
And wielding your power always comes back to choice.
Just like in nature, lighting has the ability to sharpen our senses of awe as you watch the show or elicit fear. And then you wait for the roar of thunder that often follows. Here’s where open hearts and minds matter because power just is and a reminder that you are not in control of our natural world but in control of yourself.
