The Rebels Den and Social Responsibility
When it comes to social responsibility I have a lot of thoughts in my head. Part of the mission is that as a business we will balance profit-making activities such as the advertisement revenue or The Rebel’s Den Membership with activities that benefit society through sharing parts of our profit with organizations.
As sexual abuse and rape surivor, an immigrant, special-needs mother, bi-sexual and woman this important to me on a personal level and something I value and is important to me as a business owner.
The topics we write about are intentional and have the potential to expand in what is shared on the website. That means if a topic is not covered and it should be, then we will include it and invite you to write about it.
We believe in a world that is supportive and embodies an anti-racism policy. We believe in creating awareness and writing about topics that may be uncomfortable and we are doing it with purpose.
This means that we will include BIPOC and LGBTQ. Furthermore, we value and will include all people with all immigration status’, socioeconomic status’, religious and spiritual faith.
The Rebels Den is a place for an open mind, honest and real conversations, awareness, transparency, compassion, a willingness to understand and equality and also fueled by zero-tolerance policy for bullying, racism, bigotry, and any other bullshit.
If this makes you uncomfortable at all, even in the slightest bit, we ask you to look deep inside of you and start being aware. We further invite you to come and have conversations so you can learn and expand your current knowledge about issues that matter.
Every single person could live through the same event and yet remember it and feel completely different about it. This is where we ask that compassion and empathy become a leading component.
