You are being afraid of so many things
Such as clipping your wings
If you fall in love it could be so much fun
But you think love is holding a gun
You have had that monster inside of you
And you won’t let anyone through
You think they’ll be afraid if you let them see this shade
You are afraid to make a commitment
Then you think this will kick you in the rear end
You try to hide the things you feel
But maybe you’re just needing medicine to heal
The Monster Inside of you is telling you the world isn’t safe
Lashing out and telling you to run
Never open to receiving the compassion from another soul
Because that monster is filling that deep dark whole
