My Rebel Year Issue: Evaluate your Life

Do you take time and evaluate your life? This months we are talking about to take a time out and review where you are in your life and what it means in the scheme of things in who you want to be, what you want to and have.

I am pro dreaming and goal setting but anti resolutions because they don’t really work in my opinion. Resolutions are simply just things we want to do because “everyone does it” but they lack substance. Think about it, resolutions are simply just statements that one wishes to achieve. They don’t include why you want to create a specific change or how you will even achieve that, let alone by when.

Dreams and goals need deadlines in order to become reality. They need purpose and a road map of how you will get there. In order to stay motivated you need to figure out some of the details so that on days you don’t feel like eating healthy, you can remember why you want to feel better in your body and make that change so much easier for you.

I will admit that years ago I would talk about all the things I wanted to do and have without taking into account into who I needed to be in the process of this. That clarity and focus comes from knowing what you don’t want and acknowledging what is or isn’t working for you.

Evaluate your life at a minimum once a year, I like to do it two or three times. It’s a great time to see how you have grown into the best version of yourself and some of the things you have learned along the way.
