Today I am sharing about the how you can support the cause for equality via the NAACP. When I started The Rebels Den, part of the mission was to highlight non-profits and bring awareness to different causes, injustices and what we can do about it.

The NAACP Legal Defense and Educational Fund is America’s legal counsel on issues of race. Through advocacy and litigation, LDF focuses on issues of education, voter protection, economic justice and criminal justice. We encourage students to embark on careers in the public interest through scholarship and internship programs. LDF pursues racial justice to move our nation toward a society that fulfills the promise of equality for all Americans.

Founded February 12, 1909, the NAACP is the nation’s foremost, largest, and most widely recognized civil rights organization. Its more than half-million members and supporters throughout the United States and the world are the premier advocates for civil rights in their communities, leading grassroots campaigns for equal opportunity and conducting voter mobilization.

The truth is that Black people are done dying and we have to be a voice and support. We have to recognize that business as usual is costing lives and livelihoods. They are being racially profiled because of the color of their skin. They are dying because of their color of their skin.

We have to do better there’s no question about it. We cannot just sit on the sidelines and say it doesn’t affect you and me because it does. We have to support the cause for equality and eliminate the injustices and acknowledge that systematic racism that exists and get involved in its removal across the board.
