How Fear can be the Best Motivator

Fear can be the best motivator if you allow it! Do you dream of a better life? Maybe you dream of freedom to do what you love? Be who you are?  Perhaps you wish to have more freedom in your relationships or maybe even in your work?

What is stopping you is fear!

Fear is that thought or feeling that something terrible is going to happen. That terrible could be pain or a threat to your life, person, and ego.

Our ego tells us what we can or can’t do. It dictates the actions we take.

Fear is often what stops because the following could happen:

  • People will stop being your friend
  • People will judge you
  • People will criticize you
  • You could be successful
  • You could have the million-dollar idea
  • You could realize that current relationships no longer serve you

When you get a taste of what freedom feels and looks like and get really clear on your vision, then fear can be a motivator.
Just for a moment, think about what you are going after your perfect day could feel like!

Think about that perfect job or business and how it would bring you the freedom that you are seeking. Is your relationship keeping you confined? All too often relationships with poor boundaries will do that but then you dream about freedom but you are afraid, afraid to move on because it is what you know for so long.

5 Ways to handle fear

  • Allow yourself to think and dream about your life as if fear doesn’t exist.
  • Write out your Vision or dream and describe it in detail.
  • Create goals based on your vision and dream
  • Use your fear as the excitement that will get you to where you want to go
  • Be motivated by that fear

For example starting a business but you’re afraid to not provide for your kids and work your business. Or maybe you have a book idea – fiction or non-fiction – but you’re too worried about what people think about it, maybe they’ll be pissed off.

But you owe it to yourself to allow fear to motivate you to create the life you want. And there’s no time like the present! Join me for 30-Days to declare one single goal, map out the plan to get there and then take action consistently every single day.
