How do I grow my email list
When I started my very first business, Hippie’s Creations now Petra Monaco, I didn’t know about the email list. No one talked about them and how valuable they are to any business. By the time I launched the Rebels Den, I knew that email lists were important and I had to figure out what method(s) would work for me.
I talked about some of it on the Coffee with a Rebel Podcast, and I use Summits, Giveaways, and Bundles. I love summits because people get to watch a video and get to know the person. I have done interview summits and currently am doing one that’s more of a binge-worthy masterclass of the sort – experts are recording a video and submitting it to me and I’ll set up all of the tech things.
Giveaways and Bundles are kinda the same with two differences
- Giveaways are free for people to sign up but the contributor pays a fee to participate which helps offset the costs of setting it all up and the marketing that’s involved. Each contributor shares the giveaway with their list and on social media for people to join and then choose the gift they want or need.
- Bundles are a paid product for consumers but are free for contributors to sign up to submit a product of a specific value – that is not a traditional freebie such as a course or planner. Contributors also receive a 50% commission for each sale that comes through their affiliate link.
Since I started to focus on growing my email list, I’ve added over 1200 people in the last 2 years. These activities pay off way more than constantly promoting them on social media or on your blog. I mean I believe those are still important areas to promote your free gift, but when you choose summits, giveaways, and bundles, it’s a bit more concentrated as there are on average 20 contributors sharing the events.
