The top 3 things you can do to still achieve your dream

No matter where you are right now, you can still achieve your dream! I don’t believe in the word failure but rather in the lesson to be learned from when you are not able to achieve your hopes, dreams, and goals! Failure in this sense is a much-needed part as well as an unavoidable part of life.

When you look at failure as teachable moments, you can remove the negative feelings that surround the word failure. Instead, you can then look at how you can reflect on the situations and consider how you can move forward.

Some of the challenges when working towards goals and dreams are easily corrected. Here are three things you can do to bring back the energy and motivation to move forward!

1. Evaluate your Fear

Fear is often the number one reasons that keep you stuck. You have mind chatter that literally sabotages your progress. Evaluate your fear and get clear on where it comes from.

  • Is your fear based on what you heard growing up, from society from friends?
  • Is fear coming up because what if you are successful and achieve your dream?
  • Do you fear to be alone?

Ask yourself some hard questions and journal about fear. Allow it to flow freely, don’t sensor, just write!

2. Do you have adequate support?

I am one of those people that much prefer to figure things out by myself but this really has hindered my own progress in the past. There is some amazing truth to having a support system that you can go to when you are having a hard time or simply just need a different perspective.

These days I meet with my accountability partner every week and we go over what we are working on and what we are struggling with and could use some help.

What I love about this is that I can be clear about my direction and feel very good about her authentic support as well as tell me I need to look at things differently. It really has transformed on how I move towards my goals!

3. Taking Action

I absolutely believe in following your dream and go after the things that light you up and create an energetic party! Those are truly the goals supported by actions to get you in the right direction.

When you are not achieving our goals or dreams, it is because we have not written out the proper actions to take. When you want to go on your dream vacation, continue to be spending money on dining out may not be the best choice.

When making career goals, not writing out how you will get there, will keep you in the job that sucks the life out of you.

When you have a dream, sit down and write down ALL the actions you can take to get you there.

Prioritize the ones that you know you can easily achieve and can get done immediately. The bigger actions steps may need to be broken down even further so you are not overwhelmed and you can truly visualize the finish line!

You don’t have to sort it out all alone. Sign up for the clarity session and let’s work on your goal and plan together.

  1. I think these are all great steps. I especially believe in taking action. It sounds so simple, but it’s real easy to get caught up in doing nothing. I used to be a chronic over-planner. I’d spend so much time thinking of what I wanted to do that I never got around to actually doing it. Sometimes you just have to go for it!
